LEVEL 1 DIVING
Requirements
- The competition is based on skill level and not chronological age.
- Divisions are thus known as classes.
- Divers choose to dive in the class for which they have the required skills.
- There are two major divisions – that being between those divers age 6 – 13 and those aged 14 – 18. Thus a beginner 18 year-old will not dive against a beginner 6 year-old.
- The number of classes and the requirements for each are as follows below.
Junior Level
ONLY a back fall-in MAY be used to make up dives
Class One: 2 dives from 2 different groups + 1 dive
Class Two: 3 dives from 3 different groups + 1 dive
Class Three: 3 dives from 3 different groups + 2 dives
Class Four: 4 dives from 4 different groups + 2 dives
Class Five: 5 dives from 5 different groups + 2 dives
Senior Level
ONLY a back fall-in MAY be used to make up dives
Class One: 2 dives from 2 different groups + 1 dive
Class Two: 3 dives from 3 different groups + 1 dive
Class Three: 3 dives from 3 different groups + 2 dives
Class Four: 4 dives from 4 different groups + 2 dives
Class Five: 5 dives from 5 different groups + 2 dives
