Selection Committee 2011/2012
The Selection Committee for the 2009 – 2011 season is:

Generally the selection of Central Gauteng teams will be based on times achieved by swimmers during the current season. The season will commence from the 1st of May 2010.
Should the Selection Committee feel that a swimmer could not repeat the times previously achieved, due to any reason such as illness, injury, lack of training, etc. the swimmer may be requested to undergo a time trial.
The times achieved by swimmers in the first leg of a relay event – subject to the correct timekeeping procedures being followed will be considered valid times for qualifying purposes and selection.
The selection of teams will be based on times achieved by swimmers during the current season, provided that correct timekeeping procedures have been adhered to, and that all the times are presented to the Swimboard Executive timeously.
In order to be considered for selection for any Central Gauteng Swimming Team, the onus is on the swimmer to provide certified results from any galas that he or she may have competed in that were held outside the Province/Country. THESE RESULTS MUST BE SUBMITTED VIA HIS/HER CLUB TO THE CGA SWIMBOARD
Swimmers competing out of province are to submit via their clubs a request for clearance – this clearance request is to be received by the CGA office timeously in order for the clearance letter to be sent to the province in which the gala is being held.
