Open water swimming takes the challenge of competitive swimming beyond the pool, with athletes competing in lakes, rivers and other open water environments. It develops endurance, strategy and resilience while offering opportunities to compete across a range of distances and levels. Central Gauteng Aquatics supports the growth and development of open water swimming and provides opportunities for athletes to participate and compete.
